Northbound drivers on Auckland's Southern Motorway suffered heavy delays earlier after four cars collided.
A police spokesman said all three lanes were blocked after four cars crashed just before the Symonds St turn-off at 2.14pm.
Police confirmed at about 4pm that the lanes had reopened.
"Drivers have been getting
out of their cars while they wait for the traffic to clear."
Ambulance and fire services were called to the scene.
