Plans for a $10 million upgrade of a prime waterfront site on Tamaki Drive known as The Landing have gone out for public consultation.
The Auckland City Council aims to make the 3ha triangle of land overlooking Okahu Bay more attractive and functional for water sports and recreational users by creating more open spaces and walkways, improving access for boaties and consolidating the buildings on site.
The site is the home of the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, Auckland Sailing Club, Auckland Coastguard, the New Zealand Multihull Yacht Club, Orakei Watersports, Waterwise, Ferg's Kayaks and the Auckland Canoe Club.
Feedback must be received by June 17.
