Land Rover's Freelander will take on the look of a baby Range Rover when a facelifted version arrives at the end of the year.
Changes include a new face and tail and interior. There's also a new model, the Freelander Sport, claimed to be the sharpest-handling Land Rover ever.
Updated twin-pocket, clear-lens headlamps are the most obvious link to the Range Rover and provide a higher light intensity - improved by an impressive 70 per cent.
Front and rear bumpers are body-coloured, and tail lamps have been repositioned higher on the rear bumper.
A new rear skid plate, mirroring the front sump guard, provides protection for the trailing edge when going off road.
Inside there's a new fascia, instruments, switchgear and seats.
The Sport version rides on the latest 18-inch alloy wheels and uses lowered and firmer suspension to reduce roll and improve driver feedback.
