Labour MPs are going back to their roots next week, spending three days touring the West Coast.
MPs will hold their weekly caucus meeting in Greymouth on Tuesday and then travel in groups to towns in the region.
Labour lost the West Coast-Tasman seat and the party vote to National at the election.
Party leader Phil Goff says given the party was founded in Blackball in 1917, it is appropriate to go back there as Labour begins to rebuild.
"Learning about the concerns that New Zealanders have, listening to what their hopes, aspirations and problems are and therefore bringing the Labour caucus better in touch with the views of ordinary New Zealanders."
Mr Goff says further regional visits will take place around the country in coming months.
