Bailey Junior Kurariki, the country's youngest convicted killer, was due back in court today charged with breaching his parole.
Kurariki, 19, was arrested in the Auckland suburb of Royal Oak last night, three weeks after his last court appearance on similar charges.
On February 12 in Manukau District Court he was given a "final chance" by Judge Semi Epati to keep out of trouble after admitting three charges of breaching parole involving alcohol and drugs.
Judge Epati said then Kurariki needed to understand he could not continue using drugs because part of the rehabilitation was to get off drugs.
Kurariki was only 13 when he was convicted of the manslaughter of pizza delivery man Michael Choy in Auckland in 2001 and jailed for seven years.
He was paroled last May, four months before his sentence was due to end.
He was briefly recalled to prison last July for breaching his parole terms.
At last month's hearing he faced three charges of breaching his parole involving alcohol and drugs.
