Kuranui joins the netball big league

Kuranui College will be the new kids on the block when Netball Wairarapa'spremier one matches get under way tonight and tomorrow.
They will join two other college sides, Wairarapa College and St Matthew's Collegiate, in the top section after showing good form in the promotion-relegation games last weekend.
It will be a big ask for Kuranui whose players are mostly in the 14 to 15 years age group, but they are sure to lack nothing on the score of endeavour.
Kuranui are one of two news teams in the premier grade this season , the other being Carterton Red.
They replace Featherston and Celtic Marist from the 2005 line-up, neither of those sides having sufficient numbers to front up this time round.
Two of the first round games will be played at the Genesis Recreation Centre in Masterton tonight.
Defending champions Wairarapa College will face Carterton Red at 6pm and Hiona will take on Harcourts at 7.30pm.
Playing at the Colombo Road courts tomorrow at Noon will be St Matthew's Collegiate and Gladstone All Blacks while Kuranui and Greytown will meet at Kuranui College at the same time.
