Rebuilding has started at Kopane School 10 months after it succumbed to flood waters in the February storms.
The Government is spending $290,000 on rebuilding the school's main block, ancillary sheds and swimming pool, and repairing the school grounds, all of which were substantially damaged in the floods.
The school has been operating from the nearby Highden Manor since the storms hit.
