A knife-wielding man made off with money and cigarettes from a Wellington service station in an aggravated robbery last night.
The man entered the BP service station in Newlands suburb about 7.15pm and demanded the cash and cigarettes from a male attendant, Detective Sergeant Jason Perry said.
The offender, disguised in a motorcycle helmet and a plain black hooded sweatshirt, then fled on foot.
He was described as 1.77 metres tall and of average build.
