Did you witness the stabbing or do you know anything about the incident? Let us know.
A knife has been recovered from the scene of a double stabbing in a Unitec carpark in the Auckland suburb of Mt Albert yesterday afternoon.
Police have also seized one of two cars believed to have been used by the offenders. The car will be forensically examined today.
Detective Senior Sergeant John Sutton of the Avondale CIB said a member of the public followed the Toyota Altezza after the incident about 2.20pm and managed to block it in at another nearby Unitec carpark.
"The occupants then got out of the car and dispersed into the crowd which had gathered to attend a concert on the Unitec grounds," Mr Sutton said.
"We believe that another, very similar vehicle may also have been used by the offenders or their associates and are appealing for information about it."
The two men who were injured in the altercation are still in Auckland Hospital, both are stable but one has more serious injuries than the other.
Police interviewed more than 25 witnesses overnight and still want to hear from anyone with information about the attack. Callers can phone Avondale CIB on 09 820 5728, or alternatively call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
