Knee model earns award

A New Zealand scientist has gained international recognition for her work in creating a computer model of the knee.

Dr Vickie Shim, who works at the University of Auckland's Bioengineering Institute, topped the list of more than 600 people vying for the Young Investigator Award, given by the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering.
