New Zealanders are gambling less in pubs and clubs, with poker machine revenues falling for the third year running, figures show.
The Department of Internal Affairs figures - taken from electronic monitoring of gaming machines in the country's 1455 pubs and clubs - showed the number of licence holders, gambling venues and gaming machines also dropped.
A total of $849.2 million was spent on the pokies in the year to June 30 - down 4.5 per cent from $899m in the previous year.
