New Zealand nationals are being cleared to work with children in Australia without undergoing criminal history checks, it has been revealed.
Thousands of transtasman migrants have been granted blue cards (allowing them to work with children) in Queensland without being screened for crimes, including child sex offences, because there is no requirement to check overseas convictions, the Sunday Mail reports.
