A New Zealand woman killed in America will be brought home this week.
Tarihira Rochelle Van Vlimmeren, 23, was struck by two cars when crossing a busy road in California on a motorised bike.
Los Angeles Police Department said Van Vlimmeren, who was raised in America, had run a stop sign but nearby residents said the road was dangerous.
Sergeant William Kelley said Van Vlimmeren tried to make a left turn when she was hit by an oncoming car. The impact spun her into the next lane, where she was struck by another car.
She suffered massive head trauma and was transferred to a nearby hospital where she later died.
