A New Zealand man killed in a car crash in France was just weeks away from his wedding, according to a social media post.
Beau St George, 33, was identified as the Kiwi killed in a head-on crash on a stretch of road between Valensole and Manosque in the Alpes-de-Haute Provence in the area known as "Le Bois de L'Ours".
In a social media post his mum Liz St George said: "We're all devastated with the loss of our beautiful son Beau in a car accident in France yesterday. Just a few short weeks before his wedding to the love of his life. We're all thinking of you Herminie and your beautiful baby, now without a dad."
Several other social media tributes have been left for Beau, who was engaged to his partner Herminie Gouard. The couple had a young daughter named Joan.
Beau's sister, Rachael St George, said: "This does not feel real, truly the hardest moment of our lives. Words can not express. Love you so much we will all miss you way too much ... Love you so much my brother. I still can't believe it."
