A young Kiwi woman has died after being hit by a car as she was crossing a busy London intersection.
Anna Reilly, 24, was struck by a car in Chiswick, west London, last Sunday.
Reilly was airlifted to Royal London Hospital but died the following day.
Reilly, who had been
living in East Acton, was with a friend who was uninjured.
The driver stopped after the collision and there have been no arrests.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said police were hoping to hear from more witnesses to establish the circumstances.
New Zealand flags and a Junior All Blacks jersey had been laid at the scene of the accident along with flowers and condolence messages.
A post-mortem was due to be carried out.
A funeral for Reilly will be held in Rangiora, North Canterbury, once the body has been released to her family.
A woman called Stacey posted this message on a newspaper website: "May you light up the skies of heaven Cuz. I cannot believe someone so full of life, lives no more ... Thoughts and love are with Uncle Bruce, Aunty Heather, Rachael and Megan x."
