More than 1000 drawings by New Zealand children are on display in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta as part of an international show of support for tsunami orphans.
The exhibition, called Drawings of Love, at the National Museum, features thousands of drawings by children from 33 countries including New Zealand, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, America and Australia.
The exhibition was organised by the international relief organisation, The Oneness-Heart-Tears and Smiles, which said it wanted to send messages of love and support to the 8000 children orphaned by the tsunami in December 2004.
It was opened by the Indonesian Communications Minister, Sofyan Djalil at a function with representatives of embassies of eight countries including New Zealand ambassador Philip Gibson.
Children from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin contributed to the 22,000 drawings from school children from around the world.
