Jewellery worn by Madonna and Rihanna has been crafted by a New Zealander, and it's now available in Takapuna.
Jewellery by London-based Kiwi Jessica McCormack is worn by A-list celebrities and featured in top fashion mags, and is now on sale at home.
McCormack's diamond jewels are favourites of celebs including Cheryl Cole, Madonna and Rihanna - who wore her diamond Wing of Desire earring in the music video for Live Your Life.
And Kiwis are now snapping up her designs too - a pair of mini diamond wing earrings like Rihanna's, worth $13,000, were sold within two days of going on sale at Simon James Design, at The Department Store in Takapuna. Prices for her work start at around $700.
McCormack, 30, said sales had been "fantastic" so far.
"From the beginning, New Zealanders in London have supported me so amazingly and I had some very strong requests that we start stocking in New Zealand."
The self-taught designer grew up in Christchurch, where her father is an antiques and art dealer, who McCormack said had passed on a love of the "unusual and beautiful".
"I think my upbringing in New Zealand has definitely had an influence on the way I design," she said.
McCormack last week launched a new collection, called XIV, which will be shown to private clients in the United Kingdom before going on sale here.
Future plans include breaking into the US market and working with John Galliano on Fashion Fringe, an annual event focused on new undiscovered designers.
