A New Zealand sportsperson has tested positive to dimethylamylamine, a recreational drug and stimulant more commonly known as DMAA or geranium oil.
Drug Free Sport New Zealand chief executive Graeme Steel confirmed the test result yesterday but declined to identify either the sex of the athlete or the sporting code involved.
He said the Sports Tribunal would decide a sanction within the bounds of the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) code.
