A New Zealand woman fears she is among the victims of an HIV-positive circus performer suspected of infecting hundreds of women in Australia.
Queensland police allege Godfrey Zaburoni knew he was HIV positive when he had unprotected sex with at least 37 women.
The 31-year-old is facing charges over infecting two women, but regional crime co-ordinator Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson told the Gold Coast Bulletin the acrobat may have infected hundreds of people.
A police spokeswoman said a New Zealand woman had contacted authorities and was "assisting with inquiries".
She refused to say if the woman was HIV positive, when she was involved with Zaburoni or how they met.
Zaburoni was born in Zimbabwe and has been in Australia since 1997.
