A New Zealand man is believed to have died after being hit by a cargo train in Western Australia.
Police were yet to formally identify the man, but Fairfax said he was Mailangi Hori Malui Lilo, 28, formerly of Manawatu.
He had been living in Lamington, Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Western Australia, and
is believed to be the father of two children..
The fatality happened at 1.45am Sunday after the train, travelling northeast, hit the man on the Piccadily St crossing. He died at the scene.
The coroner's office is investigating the death.
