Maserati's 250F Formula One car was named the world's greatest racing car at an award ceremony at the world's oldest car club, Britain's Royal Automobile Club.
Pink Floyd drummer and occasional racing driver Nick Mason drove the car down London's Pall Mall to receive its award.
The Maserati was voted on by worldwide readers of a UK motoring magazine from a shortlist that included Auto Union, Lotus, Porsche and Toyota cars.
The 250F won 55 races between 1954 and 1958.
