A kindergarten has been destroyed in a suspicious fire in Paeroa overnight.
Fire crews were called to Central Kids Kindergarten on Arney Street about 9.45pm, northern fire communications shift manager Steve Smith said.
"They got there and the place was well involved."
The kindergarten's classroom was severely damaged by the blaze, Mr Smith said.
A fire investigations officer was investigating the fire, which was being treated as suspicious.
