The pedestrian killed after being hit by a car in Gisborne last week has been named.
Kimberly Chaval Phillips, 33, died after the accident on Friday. She was from Gisborne, police said.
She was hit on Cobden St about 11pm, a St John ambulance spokesman said last week.
When paramedics
arrived at the scene Phillips was in a critical condition. She died while receiving treatment.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
