KEY POINTS:
Radio New Zealand bosses have reprimanded presenter Kim Hill after she mocked the broadcaster's new marketing campaign.
The campaign has clips of iconic kiwi sounds and a voice saying "Sounds like us".
Five days after it started, Hill mocked it on her Saturday morning programme -- she played serval of the clips, then added her own versions; a non-starting lawnmower and baa-ing sheep.
She played a clip of a revving chainsaw while introducing a guest, added "Sounds like us", and then, as the two roared with laughter, said: "One of us is going to get sacked."
Radio New Zealand chief executive Peter Cavanagh told the Sunday Star-Times there had been "a conversation with Kim" about the "unhelpful" stunt.
He told the newspaper he was amused by it but said some listeners were left bewildered. The broadcaster received emails from about a dozen people following the incident.
"It was unhelpful given that it confused a few people," Mr Cavanagh said.
