Gore woman Maree Frances MacRae was insane when she killed her 6-year-old daughter Molly with a knife and attempted to murder her husband Derek on December 6, Justice Hansen ruled in the High Court at Invercargill yesterday.
The finding was supported by expert opinion for the Crown and defence.
