A South African man says his children are stranded in New Zealand while their mother spends six months in prison. Wayne du Toit's ex-wife Lyndell du Toit, 31, was convicted in Christchurch District Court last week of stealing more than $18,000 from a charitable fund set up for her daughter after she was mauled by a dog. Their three children are with her partner, Eric Minty. Mr du Toit said he was afraid she would end up staying in New Zealand and would continue to use the children for her benefit.
