Police are seriously concerned by an attempt to abduct a 13-year-old North Shore girl in broad daylight.
The teenager was on her way home from school when a man wearing a balaclava grabbed her arm and pulled her towards his car about 3.45pm on Wednesday at the intersection of Beach Haven and Hayman Rds. She fought him off and ran home.
The man is described as tall, wearing dark trousers tucked into black boots, and black motorcycle gloves. He was driving a dark, late-model car, possibly modified or lowered, with tinted windows and in good condition.
