Matthew Kidman's bail has been revoked, after appearing in the Lower Hutt District Court on fresh charges.
The 28-year-old was found in Upper Hutt last night following a two day manhunt.
A range of additional charges were laid in court today over an incident in Naenae earlier in the week.
Kidman was already facing a number of firearms charges.
A pre-depositions hearing for the new charges will be held later this month.
Kidman's capture yesterday was "pretty short and sweet", Detective Sergeant Mike Sears told the Dominion Post.
Police were seeking Kidman, who was on bail for firearms charges, after he was allegedly seen in a car with a firearm visiting a house in the Lower Hutt suburb of Naenae on Tuesday.
A firearm was later recovered from the nearby Taita Cemetery.
Over the next 48 hours he was tracked across various parts of Hutt Valley, including surrounding hills.
Kidman was believed to have taken a cart used to pick up golf balls from the Silverstream Golf Park driving range yesterday morning and used it to escape into a forestry block.
Police believe he dumped the cart, took a car and drove up Whiteman's Valley.
He was caught after being sighted by a member of public.
His sister, Christine Kidman earlier appealed for him to give himself up so he did not get shot.
