Masterton Christian Childcare centre's Christmas spirit has well and truly kicked off, with a Christmas wonderland now open at the Times-Age building.
Superviser Suzie Wilmshurst said two Christmases ago the staff took the children around town to look at Christmas decorations, and found there was not a lot around.
"[Masterton] was missing the Christmas spirit, so being the big kid I am I decided we would go on a mission... to get the Christmas spirit out there" Mrs Wilmshurst said.
Last year the staff started up Christmas Wonderland, using donated, recycled or handmade decorations, with different areas set up in the space, each belonging to its own Christmas theme, including a bloke's Christmas, a retro Christmas, a romantic Christmas and a nativity scene.
Mrs Wilmshurst said this year's themes would include Kiwiana and a romantic scene again.
