KEY POINTS:
Prime Minister John Key wants to be briefed to make sure there is no duplication between the functions of the Organised Financial Crime Agency and the Serious Fraud Office.
The police are refusing to relinquish the "F" for "financial" in Ofcanz, the name given to its elite new crimefighting agency when it was to absorb the SFO's function and 35 specialist staff.
Mr Key reiterated yesterday that the National Government would keep the SFO separate, but said it would make sure work was not duplicated.
