Key bets on All Whites

Prime Minister John Key says that as rank outsiders the All Whites could make him the quickest $10,000 he has earned if they win the World Cup.

Mr Key, who is due to travel to South Africa today to watch the All Whites play Italy on Monday morning (NZ time), said he would put $5 on them to bring home the trophy.

He said in Auckland yesterday that being in South Africa for the Italian game would be tremendous.

Mr Key produced a crumpled $5 note he said would be put on the All Whites at the TAB.

"They are 2000-l to win the World Cup and it could be the fastest way I have made 10 grand."
