The Northland boy accused of murdering his ex-schoolmate Liberty Templeman has reappeared in Kaikohe Youth Court.
The 14-year-old, who cannot be named because he is appearing in Youth Court, was remanded to reappear in court on December 15.
Fifteen-year-old Liberty, known as Libby, was found dead beside Kerikeri's Wairoa Stream 15 days ago after disappearing on the way to meet a boyfriend.
The boy has been in the custody of Child Youth and Family since his arrest.
Police said that the pair had been friends and both attended Kerikeri High School before Libby's family moved to Auckland.
More than 1000 mourners farewelled Libby, at a funeral service in Kerikeri on November 8.
