The principal of Mt Albert Grammar has reminded his 1st XV rugby team to keep their cool during today's college final at Eden Park.
Bans of between 10 and 16 months were handed to five Kelston Boys High School students after last Saturday's fight, while four Auckland Grammar students were banned for six-weeks and will miss today's final match with Mt Albert Grammar.
Mt Albert principal Dale Burden says even with four players on the Grammar side suspended, he is not counting the side out. He says his team takes on the jersey not the players and know they are in for a tough game.
Mr Burden hopes the only pictures of his rugby team appearing in the news today, are ones with the players holding the trophy.
Grammar Principal John Morris says it has been a tough week and his team';s preparation has been disrupted as they have not been focusing on the game because of the issues arising from last weekend's match. He says the whole team has been mentored and counselled in the past few days.
The match starts at 2.30pm.
