TelstraClear is being told to keep New Zealand jobs and not move its call centres offshore.
Labour MP Clare Curran is not happy about the the telco's plans to outsource 170 call centre jobs to the Philippines, describing it as a worrying trend.
She believes people are sick of companies deciding to axe Kiwi jobs in favour of lower labour costs offshore and fears the decision could further tarnish what she described as TelstraClear's poor reputation for customer service.
