Kauri dieback disease is still ravaging Auckland's Waitakere Ranges.
It's now seen as a greater threat to the 28,000 ha park than invasive weeds, biosecurity threats or fire.
The disease is being closely monitored and managed, particularly near forest tracks.
Some tracks have been closed, and boardwalks and raised pathways are being installed to prevent kauri dieback spreading.
