KEY POINTS:
Motorists frustrated by four days of long delays on State Highway One through the Kapiti Coast are being urged to vent their anger on Transport Minister Annette King.
The delays have been caused by re-surfacing on a stretch of road between Paraparaumu and Waikanae.
The work was completed on Saturday but loose gravel meant drivers were still having to slow down last night, with reports of what is usually a 10 minute trip taking up to an hour.
Kapiti regional councillor Chris Turver said people who have been caught up in the problems should write to the Transport Minister.
He is even suggesting they include a bill for lost time, missed appointments and wasted fuel.
Turver has described the delays as diabolical and unforgivable.
