Champion kickboxer Paul Kingi may face a third trial after a second jury in the High Court at Palmerston North yesterday failed to reach a verdict on charge of manslaughter.
Kingi, also formerly New Zealand's strongest man, was accused of killing his uncle Wananga Kingi in a fight at Dannevirke on January 6, 2004.
The second trial jury returned at 9pm yesterday and said it could not reach a verdict and was discharged.
The prosecution will now decide on whether Kingi should face a third trial.
