JUNIOR riders line up for the start of a race at the 44th annual Woodville motocross meeting on Saturday. There was a big turnout of Wairarapa riders and we went along to capture some of the action. The organisers, the Manawatu Orion Motorcycle Club, rearranged the venue this year, with the pits being set up over the river and spectators concentrated on the northern side. That was a happy choice, with a northerly wind carrying the dust away from most of the fans. Top Wairarapa effort was Luke Burkhart's nailbiting victory on a Suzuki in the 125cc Grand Prix, edging out reigning champion Cody Cooper of Opotiki, on a Honda on Sunday.
