Hundreds gathered and rush-hour traffic was briefly held up yesterday as police attended a false alarm in Queen St, central Auckland.
Police had received a call soon after 5pm from a member of the public who had spotted someone standing near the edge of 192 Queen St, six storeys up.
Police established that there was no potential for harm and were able to leave the scene after 25 minutes.
