William Clague makes the most of yesterday's sunny weather, leaping into the cool waters of Pilot Bay in Tauranga Harbour.
The North Island is in for more of the same this week, with the MetService predicting a warm and mostly fine five days. Auckland is in for a high of 26C today, with cloud at times, a few afternoon showers and a southwesterly wind turning northeasterly.
The sunshine will continue tomorrow and on Wednesday, with a chance of light rain in the afternoon or evening and a high of 25C on both days. Clear skies and high temperatures are forecast for the end of the week, with light winds on Thursday dying down by Friday.
