As Richard Jason Haeata was being remanded in custody after pleading guilty to wilful damage, offensive behaviour and assault charges he began swearing before saying to the judge "sweet, okay, catch you".
In Masterton District Court, lawyer Frank Minehan entered guilty pleas on behalf of Haeata to one count each of breach of bail and offensive behaviour, two of assault with a blunt instrument and five of wilful damage.
Mr Minehan told Judge Jan Kelly Haeata had alcohol and drug problems and "the best thing he could do for himself and society" was get treatment.
Haeata will be sentenced on November 27.
