KEY POINTS:
A Southland teenager making a court appearance for drink-driving was angrily sent home yesterday by the judge to change out of the T-shirt she was wearing which proclaimed she was "Miss Wasted".
"Go home and get changed," Judge Dominic Flatley told 18-year-old Keisha Lee Kubala as she was sent from Gore District Court.
She reappeared later in the day wearing a different T-shirt without any slogans offensive to the court.
Kubala was fined $300 and disqualified from driving for three months for driving with a breath-alcohol level of 349mcg on November 20.
The limit for a person aged under 20 years is 150mcg.
