The teenager accused of killing a Christchurch mother has appeared before a closed court.
The woman, who has interim name suppression, is accused of murdering Alicia Nathan on Saturday night at a house on Avonhead Rd.
She will reappear at the High Court in Christchurch on August 25.
The 18-year-old's appearance was closed to the public, because the judge was concerned about emotional friends of the victim interrupting court services.
However, the victim's family had asked friends and family on Facebook not to show up to the appearance.
