THE Wairarapa Under-11 Boy's Development hockey team finished joint winners of their Pool B at a tournament in Napier recently. According to coach Donald Yee, the boys played well above themselves and credit must also go to the parents, supporters and team sponsors. Special mention must also go to star fullback for the first game,Thomas Hunt, who suffered a freak accident at the team's motel which required eight stitches. This meant he took no further part in the tournament and the team soldiered on with 12 players for the next six games.The team Back row: Lisa McLennan (manager), Donald Yee (coach).
