Wellington's John The Baptist make a return to Wairarapa on Saturday to open for internationally acclaimed Americana act The Handsome Family at King Street Live, as part of Kokomai Creative Festival.
Promoter Mark Rogers said the capital city act will feature the talents of Michael Keane and Shaun Blackwell, who was fresh from touring as part of the Fly My Pretties collective.
He said the pair will perform as a duo for the Handsome Family performance but return to King Street Live with the full line-up on November 16, for the Up With People club night Nashville Babylon.
It would be the first time the whole group has performed here since their show-stealing slot at The Gunslinger's Ball at the Carterton Events Centre back in May, Mr Rogers said.
Also making a return visit to King Street Live will be Delaney Davidson and Marlon Williams, who will be playing a special Labour weekend show at the Masterton venue on October 28.
