The Prime Minister has had an eventful trip to a primary school science fair in Wellington today.
John Key attended the science roadshow at the Miramar South School. While there, he lit a fire which led to a hydrogen balloon exploding, and was given a push by children as he took a spin on a gravitational chair.
Mr Key was showing a group of children how to pump air below a small ball to allow it to shoot up in the air, when his eagerness saw the ball fly several metres into the air, before hitting a member of his security detail on the head.
The woman was uninjured.
