Former All Black captain and NZRU Chairman Jock Hobbs will be farewelled in Wellington this afternoon.
The 52-year-old died on Tuesday following a long battle with leukemia.
He played 39 games for the All Blacks, before the effects of concussions forced a premature end to his career at age 26.
After his playing career, Jock Hobbs went on to help secure the 2011 Rugby World Cup hosting rights, and to then provide an inspiration for the All Blacks in their path to victory.
His funeral is at 1pm today at Wellingtons Old Saint Pauls.
