Singer Jimmy Buffett has cancelled his New Zealand show on Saturday after he was injured falling off a stage at the end of a concert in Sydney.
Audience members saw the 64-year-old fall face first off the stage and hit his head at the concert last night, his last show in Sydney.
Buffett's manager then took the stage and urged fans to leave the auditorium, the Hordem Pavillion.
The singer was taken to Sydney's St Vincent's Hospital and later discharged.
Buffett was due to perform at the Auckland Viaduct on Te Wero Island this weekend but had cancelled the show to allow himself time to recover from his injuries, a spokeswoman said.
"Jimmy would like to thank all of his fans for their support, and wants them all to know that he will return," she said.
Tickets bought from eventfinder.co.nz would be automatically refunded tomorrow to the credit card used for the purchase.
