Jetstar has recovered from a turbulent start to its New Zealand operation, with 86 per cent of flights arriving within 15 minutes of schedule in its first year.
Spokesman Gerard Blank said the figure was "considered excellent in aviation terms".
The airline unveiled its domestic schedule last June but quickly ran into problems. A group of passengers flying to Wellington - including All Blacks fans flying to a test match - were stranded in Auckland, and Prime Minister John Key was among hundreds of passengers stranded in Queenstown.
Blank said its fleet will get new technology to allow them to fly into Queenstown in bad weather.
