Jetstar launches Queenstown to Australia flights

Jetstar is launching international flights from Queenstown to Australia.

Services to the Gold Coast and Melbourne will start at the end of the week.

Queenstown Airport CEO Steve Sanderson says the flights will be a major contributor to the 25 per cent increase in international visitors expected this summer.

Jetstar has also expanded its Auckland to Queenstown connections - now operating 11 weekly flights instead of seven.
